Civil Protection has maintained the Inuncat emergency alert in Tarragona and several southern Catalonia regions this Saturday due to continuous rainfall caused by Storm Regina.

The weather event is expected to last throughout the day, with accumulations potentially exceeding 100 l/m² in various areas. While the rain is not exceptionally torrential, its steady nature is causing a progressive rise in river and stream levels, particularly in the Terres de l'Ebre region.
According to the Meteorological Service of Catalonia, significant figures have already been recorded in locations such as the Els Ports Natural Park, where over 180 liters have fallen. Other areas like Puig Sesolles are approaching 200 l/m².
The Operational Coordination Center of Catalonia (CECAT) is closely monitoring river basins. Authorities advise extreme caution during travel and urge the public to stay away from flood-prone areas and riverbanks.
