The popular tapas routes in Tarragona, promoted by the Associació d’Empreses d’Hostaleria de la Província de Tarragona (AEHT), are entering a new phase with the collaboration of Família Torres.

This alliance will lead to a renewal of established initiatives such as Tasta Salou, Tastem Torredembarra, Tastum Cambrils, Tastets de Tarragona, and Tapa Reus. From now on, these routes will offer their tastings exclusively paired with wines and cavas from the renowned Penedès winery.
The new features will come into effect on Thursday, May 14, coinciding with a new day of gastronomic routes that will continue to be held every Thursday evening throughout much of the year, except for Tastem Torredembarra, which takes place on Fridays. Additionally, the price of all tastings will be unified at 7 euros, including tapa and drink.
One of the major innovations is the reintroduction of the gastronomic passport. Attendees will be able to stamp a box for each consumption, and those who complete the route will receive a complimentary bottle of wine from Família Torres.
Participating establishments will also have the opportunity to compete in the best tapa of the province contest, organized by the AEHT and sponsored by Makro. The winning proposal will be announced during the entity's annual dinner on September 28, and will represent Tarragona in the Official Championship of Tapas and Pintxos of Hospitality of Spain, in Madrid.
With this initiative, the AEHT seeks to strengthen the link between gastronomy and wine culture in a province considered a wine reference, with eight designations of origin and a long tradition in quality pairings.
