Teachers and professors from the Tarragona region protested this Wednesday at Plaça Imperial Tarraco to voice their concerns over labor conditions and educational resources.

The strike reached its peak at 11:30 AM, as a large number of education professionals filled the city center. Protesters, many wearing the iconic yellow t-shirts, blocked several streets to highlight their dissatisfaction with the current state of the educational system.
Key demands include salary increases, although unions emphasize that the priority is improving student care. They are calling on the Generalitat de Catalunya for lower classroom ratios and a reduction in the bureaucratic workload that currently overwhelms teachers.

Regarding participation figures, reports vary significantly. The Department of Education reported an 11.9% turnout early in the morning, based on data from a portion of schools. Conversely, unions estimated participation at 85%, claiming the mobilization was a major success.
