The wooded areas of Llevant, including Entrepins, Monnars, Solimar, and La Móra, were the most affected by Monday's storm and hailstorm. The fall of numerous pine trees caused considerable damage to streets, homes, and parked vehicles.
Las Palmeras campsite was particularly hard hit by the storm's impact. A tourist from Burgos, vacationing with her partner, described the situation as "an apocalypse, very chaotic," with pine trees falling on caravans, motorhomes, and tents. Their two cars also sustained damage from falling trees.
Despite the extent of the damage, the camper expressed relief that "no one was injured." She detailed how the wind lifted the pegs of their kitchen tent, although the pergola broke. Other awnings and tents were blown away, and many people had to be relocated.
Residents in the urbanizations were also busy repairing the damage. In Entrepins, the main street was blocked by fallen pine trees, affecting electrical wiring, although the power supply remained operational. In Monnars, two pine trees fell on a house, damaging the side fence and the top of the chimney, which ended up about 30 meters away.
A resident of Monnars explained that a falling pine tree toppled the perimeter wall and damaged two cars, breaking a window and affecting the door and roof of one. The family decided to cut their vacation short and return home earlier than planned.
