This celebration, which will begin on May 3, is a spectacle with medieval roots, officially recognized as a National Heritage Festive Element of Interest. Its artistic proposal combines elements of theater, tradition, and the popular identity of the locality.
The play narrates an ancient legend about a merchant who, during a period of famine, travels to Algiers to acquire wheat. Upon his return, he brings with him an image considered miraculous, giving rise to the story that is performed.
