The conference aims to be a meeting point to learn about initiatives developed in Torredembarra concerning reading. It seeks to share experiences and collectively reflect on the fundamental role that family, school, the library, and the municipality play in the reading support of children and young people.
Throughout the day, various activities designed for different audiences are scheduled. These will include reading laboratories, board games, presentations of children's and youth reading clubs, as well as the Reading Council and the Teachers' Club. There will also be exhibition visits and other proposals related to the world of literature.
The program for Friday, October 2nd, will begin at 9 AM with a welcome and exhibition visit. At 10 AM, the Reading Plan will be presented, followed by an open laboratory at 10:20 AM. After a fellowship lunch at 1:30 PM, the afternoon will continue with more activities, including workshops, board games for teenagers, and presentations of reading clubs for various ages and languages.
At 6:30 PM, the Reading Council and the 10th Teachers' Club will be presented, along with the awarding of the 5th Mestra Maria Antònia Prize. The conference will conclude at 7 PM with a concert and poetry by Cèlia Juan.
