The Tarragona Provincial Council Tourism Board and COPATE approved a protocol on January 21 to promote a responsible and sustainable tourism model in the Terres de l'Ebre Biosphere Reserve.

The agreement, signed between both institutions, seeks to establish a stable cooperation framework to improve institutional coordination in tourism promotion projects. The goal is to ensure that sector growth is carried out in balance with environmental protection, landscape preservation, and territorial identity.

"reinforces a tourism model based on quality, diversification, and respect for the territory"

Enric Adell · President of the Tarragona Provincial Council Tourism Board
One of the central pillars of the protocol is the shared and standardized use of the Reserva de la Biosfera–Terres de l’Ebre brand. Furthermore, a mixed working group will be created to meet periodically to coordinate actions, projects, and strategic lines linked to responsible tourism.

"a strategic opportunity for the sustainable development of the territory"

Ivan García · President of COPATE
