Three people were injured, one critically, when a wall collapsed at the Port of Roda de Berà due to heavy rains affecting Tarragonès and Baix Penedès, also causing floods and evacuations.

A wall collapsed at the Port of Roda de Berà shortly after 2 AM, trapping three people. According to reports from the Firefighters and the SEM (Emergency Medical Service), one victim is in critical condition, while the other two are seriously and less seriously injured. The critically and seriously injured were taken to Hospital Joan XXIII in Tarragona, and the less seriously injured to Santa Tecla Hospital.
The torrential rains recorded in Baix Penedès and northern Tarragonès have caused numerous incidents. In El Vendrell, the seafront suffered flooding in the lower floors of buildings and hotel lobbies. Les Sirenes de Creixell campsite and a nightclub in El Vendrell had to be evacuated. About a hundred young people were transferred to Pla de Mar school, set up as a reception centre, along with centres at the sports complex in Roda de Berà and the municipal centre in Creixell. These municipalities, along with Torredembarra, are the most affected.
The emergency number 112 received nearly 700 calls, and the Firefighters responded to 192 calls during the night. The mayor of El Vendrell, Kenneth Martínez, described the night as "very long," with very intense rainfall between 1 AM and 4 AM accumulating over 130 litres per square metre, overflowing streams and the seafront.
The most complex situation occurred at a nightclub in El Vendrell, where about a hundred young people were evacuated and transferred to a school. A girl who had entered a stream was also rescued. The mayor described the situation as "unprecedented" and noted that the main damage affects urban furniture, the beach, and numerous private cars, in addition to flooded ground floors.
In Roda de Barà, Mayor Pere Virgili highlighted that in his 62 years of life, he had never seen water flow with such force and for so many hours. In addition to the three injured by the wall collapse, about a hundred people were evacuated from the Arc de Roda de Barà campsite to the Municipal Sports Centre. The town's main festivals were also affected, with the suspension of activities.
In Torredembarra, 137 litres per square metre were recorded, with significant impact on the Passeig Miramar, the Viló underpass being cut off, and trapped vehicles. The acting mayor, Vale Pino, indicated that the water is receding naturally towards the beach, but firefighters are assisting in restoring normality. Pino warned of a "new climatic reality" that requires being "always prepared" for more sustained and intense rainfall episodes.
