The Mossos d'Esquadra intercepted two men on the AP-7 highway in Tarragona on Thursday, January 29, transporting 60 kilograms of vacuum-packed marijuana hidden in a truck's false bottom.

The arrest took place last Thursday, January 29, when Mossos d'Esquadra officers stopped a truck near kilometer 247 of the AP-7, within the municipality of Tarragona. The two men, aged 41 and 44, were part of a criminal group that used a warehouse in La Selva del Camp as a logistics center.
The drugs, distributed in 58 bags totaling 60 kilograms of vacuum-packed marijuana buds, were concealed in a false bottom of the trailer. This illegal cargo is estimated to be worth approximately 120,000 euros on the Spanish market, a figure that could double if distributed in other European countries.

The trailer's rear wall showed clear signs of manipulation, with a difference of more than 50 centimeters between the exterior and interior length.

The police investigation began following suspicious movements detected at the warehouse in La Selva del Camp. After intercepting the truck, agents from the Reus Investigation Unit searched the premises, seizing personal documentation linked to the criminal group, as well as frequency inhibitors and GPS trackers.
The two detainees were brought before the duty investigating court in Reus last Saturday, January 31, charged with belonging to a criminal group and crimes against public health.
