Sommeliers Anna Casabona París, from Valls, and Toni Trullos, from Falset, will represent the province of Tarragona in the prestigious Best Sommelier of Catalonia 2026 Contest, taking place on February 9 in Girona.

The competition, organized by the Associació Catalana de Sommeliers (ACS), will be held within the framework of the Girona Gastronomic Forum. The event will gather a total of twelve professionals from the four Catalan provinces.
Participants will undergo various written and practical tests, including commented tastings of wines and other products. The competition also includes specific evaluations in a foreign language to test the contestants' international knowledge.
The final round will take place in the afternoon, featuring service, pairing, decanting, and wine list correction tests. These will be assessed by an expert jury composed of renowned sommeliers and former winners of the contest.
Anna Casabona París is a sommelier at Juvé & Camps, holds a degree in Oenology from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and has international certifications such as WSET3 and the WSET4 Diploma. Toni Trullos is the commercial director of Enoturisme Celler Clos Pons Pachem, a sommelier certified by the Universitat de Barcelona, and was the fourth best sommelier in Catalonia in 2023.
The winner will be announced during the Sommelier Night dinner, which will conclude the competition day.
