Several users unaware of the Renfe railway service interruption in Catalonia showed up at the Tarragona train station on Wednesday morning.

The concentration of uninformed travelers occurred early on Wednesday morning at the Tarragona station, although the flow gradually decreased. Many users, like Jordi Solé, believed that only the local Rodalies (Commuter) trains had been canceled, but not the regional services.

"The day after the accident, a lament: it rains and everything collapses. The lack of investment in infrastructure over the last decades has consequences."

Solé explained to the ACN news agency that, despite the service suspension, the ADIF application did not reflect the real situation, indicating that trains were still running. This misinformation was the main reason for the users' presence at the station.
The interruption occurred following the serious accident on the R4 line in Gelida, which took place the previous day and caused one fatality and several injuries, highlighting the fragility of the Catalan railway system.
