The Vila-seca City Council approved a 10.5 million euro budget increase this Friday, utilizing surplus funds from 2025 to bolster the 2026 financial plan.

This additional funding will support the Bus Blau urban transport network with 771,000 euros and school improvement plans with 755,000 euros. Other investments include 720,000 euros for municipal sports facilities and 443,000 euros for solar panels and parks.

"This modification reinforces services, drives transformations, and accelerates planned projects without compromising financial stability."

Elisabet Torrademé · City Councilor for Finance
The security department will receive nearly 1 million euros for a new emergency control room and Local Police vehicles. The motion passed with government support, while PSC and Vox abstained, and Vila-seca en Comú voted against.
