The city of Tarragona is on high alert this Thursday due to a severe windstorm that has reached speeds of 92 km/h at the local port.

The Tarragona City Council has suspended educational activities and closed public parks and sports facilities. Maximum gusts of 63 km/h were recorded in the city center, while the Port of Tarragona saw the highest impact.
Emergency crews, including the Local Police and Civil Protection, are managing incidents in areas such as Catalunya Avenue. Fallen branches and construction fences have caused minor disruptions on public roads throughout the morning.
