Xocosave Pastry Shop, based in Riudoms with a store in Reus, won the Fava de Cacau 2026 award for the seventh consecutive year, one of the sector's highest recognitions, presented in Sant Vicenç dels Horts.

Xocosave Pastry Shop, founded in 1880 and operating a store on Sant Joan street in Reus, has been included once again in the list of the best pastry shops in Catalonia. The prestigious Fava de Cacau award was presented during the gala held this weekend in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, as part of the International Pastry Exhibition.
One of the star products that has made the pastry shop viral is its XXL size croissants, which have been hugely successful on social media due to their giant dimensions. The flavor selection is extensive, including classic butter and chocolate, and special combinations like Kinder Bueno, Oreo, or Baileys, in addition to mascarpone and cheesecake creams, and fruit versions such as banana with chocolate or mango.
Besides croissants, Xocosave is also renowned for its artisan panettones, which were recognized as the best in Spain in 2020. That same year, the pastry shop earned a Solete Repsol distinction. Their traditional cakes (coques) and a catering service, providing their baked goods for both family and corporate events, are also highlighted.
In addition to Xocosave, other establishments in the province of Tarragona have been recognized with the Fava de Cacau 2026. These include Dolços Alemany 1912 (Amposta), Cal Jan (Torredembarra), Bahía (L’Ampolla), Larrosa (Flix), Confiteria Padreny (Reus), Peralta Pastissers (Tortosa), Rossana (Calafell), and L’Obrador (El Vendrell).
