CB Salou, coached by Jesús Muñiz, lost at home to Benicarló (65-73) on January 12 at the Milà pavilion, despite the significant contribution from their new players.

The two new Salou additions, Knowles (9 points) and Renane (8 points), started in the initial five and injected the freshness and dynamism the team desperately needed after a subpar first half of the Segunda FEB season. This energy allowed the home team to close the first quarter with a 19-13 lead.
CB Salou looked comfortable initially, finding good interior passes and unlocking the Benicarló defense. However, the second quarter was more balanced. Benicarló quickly closed the gap, with Libroia (19 points) standing out as the game's MVP, capitalizing on the hosts' defensive lapses.
After the necessary break, Jesús Muñiz's team regained momentum, thanks to Traoré (13 points) and Sánchez (12 points), who put CB Salou back ahead on the scoreboard. The atmosphere at the Milà pavilion was crucial, driving an electric and offensive game, although the defense remained loose for both sides.
The game was decided in a very tight fourth quarter. Despite Traoré's efforts, Benicarló was more successful in the final moments, closing the score with the definitive 65-73 victory.
