Comedian Edu Soto announced as town crier for Salou's Winter Festival

The popular showman, known for his television career, will kick off the celebrations on January 29th.

The Salou City Council has chosen actor and comedian Edu Soto to be the town crier for the Winter Festival, which will be inaugurated on Thursday, January 29th, at the Salou Auditorium Theatre.

The Salou City Council has confirmed that the actor, comedian, and showman Edu Soto will be responsible for officially inaugurating the Winter Major Festival (Festa Major d’Hivern). The central proclamation ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 29, at 8 p.m. at the Salou Auditorium Theatre (TAS), a key event in the local festive calendar.
Edu Soto is a highly recognized figure on the Spanish scene, especially for his role as El Neng de Castefa on television programs. His career includes theatre, cinema, and television, establishing him as a versatile artist with a fresh and ironic style.

His presence as town crier guarantees a dynamic, fun, and energetic inauguration, combining monologues, improvisation, and live music.

During the same proclamation ceremony, the Pubilles and the Hereu de Salou will be presented, figures representing the tradition and festive spirit of the municipality.
The first festive day will conclude with the comedy show Más vale solo que ciento volando, starring Edu Soto himself, which will take place at the Festa Major Marquee (Envelat), kicking off several intense days of celebration.
