The Independent Central Union of Civil Servants (CSIF) and other unions representing the Salou Local Police denounce the stalled labor annex negotiations and rights violations, worsening the working environment.

The Independent Central Union of Civil Servants (CSIF), along with the rest of the union representation of the Salou Local Police, has denounced the total paralysis in the negotiation of the labor annex and the systematic non-compliance with rights established in current legislation. This situation is deemed “unacceptable” and is attributed to the municipal government's inaction.
For over a year, meetings to update the labor annex have yielded no real progress. A Job Valuation (VLT), carried out by an external company, confirmed that the historical night shift compensation was not being paid correctly.

The situation is aggravated by the repeated non-compliance with working conditions, the deterioration of the working climate, and the constant flight of personnel to other police forces.

Although payment for night shifts was initially agreed upon, effective from January 1, 2026, this commitment was rejected, and implementation was delayed until July 2026, a decision that has caused deep discomfort and frustration among the officers.
On January 8, 2026, the CSIF delivered a detailed document outlining all deficiencies to the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados (PSC), requesting an urgent meeting. The union warns that if immediate solutions are not provided, it will not hesitate to promote new pressure measures to defend the rights of the workers.
