The number 06703 was the last to emerge from the drums shortly after 12:15 PM, securing the top prize in the traditional El Niño Draw. Unlike the second and third prizes, which were concentrated, the 06703 was widely distributed across Spain, with a portion landing in the province of Tarragona.
The Doña Pilar administration, located on Barcelona Street in Salou, was the only one in the Tarragona region to distribute luck in this Epiphany raffle. The administrator, Amador Jové, confirmed that all winning tenths were sold via machine, although the exact number of tickets sold remains unknown.
“"I found out from home when checking the winning cities. For the moment, I do not know how many winners there are or the sales method for this 06703."
This administration is already a reference point in the province, having sold the first prize of the Christmas Lottery, the Gordo, in 2019. Across Catalonia, the first prize touched a total of 11 municipalities, including Salou, Terrassa, Mataró, Barcelona, and Sabadell.
Regarding spending, Catalonia invested 92.691 million euros in this edition, with a per capita expenditure of 11.41 euros. The Union of Treasury Technicians (Gestha) estimates that the State will collect 21.45 million euros in taxes, as the first prize (200,000 euros) is subject to a 32,000 euro tax.
