The official start of the festival will take place on Thursday, January 29, with the traditional proclamation at the Salou Auditorium Theater (TAS). This year, the renowned actor and comedian Edu Soto will be in charge of the inaugural event, and he will also star in the Comedy Night with the show Más vale solo que ciento volando at the Festival Marquee. During the ceremony, the Pubilles and the Hereu de Salou, figures representing the festive tradition of the municipality, will be presented.
The program places special emphasis on Catalan popular culture, featuring the participation of the Festive Entourage, parades, giants (gegants), the Mulassa, stick dances (balls de bastons), the Morena, sardanas, and devils (diables). On Saturday, January 31, there will be a major festive day in the center, and on Sunday, February 1, the XXXIV Giants Gathering will be held on Passeig Jaume I, culminating in a joint dance by all participating groups.
The Cós Blanc, the most emblematic event for the young audience, will be held on Saturday, February 7, and will include the youth dawn party, the float parade, and the grand night parade with confetti, light, and music.
Families will have a prominent space with workshops, gymkhanas, and the Fira Xic’s. The main novelty of this edition is the installation of the largest children's inflatable park in Catalonia. The festival will close on Sunday, February 8, with a correfoc (fire run) and a fireworks display.
