A crew of 500 people from Disney has arrived in the city to transform emblematic locations in the Old Town, including the interior and the staircase of the Cathedral. Draperies, medieval set pieces like lecterns and lion sculptures have been installed inside, and a platform has been placed on the exterior steps to simulate columns.
Filming of the various scenes, which is being kept strictly confidential, will commence this Tuesday. The restrictions are already impacting tourist visits, generating anticipation among visitors.
The occasional disruptions from last week will intensify until August 3rd, when filming will extend across several areas of the Old Town. Despite the production's secrecy, it has been revealed that a coronation scene will be filmed at the Cathedral.
