Over 55,000 people filled Jaume I Promenade in Salou on the evening of February 8 to celebrate Cós Blanc, Catalonia's largest confetti festival, featuring 28 floats and an unprecedented technical display.

The celebration, which closes the Winter Festival, saw massive participation, favored by excellent weather, with no cold or wind. Long before seven in the evening, the scheduled start time, the promenade was completely full, forming a genuine human tide looking up at the sky, awaiting the great white rain.
The spectacle kicked off with an impressive technical deployment: 30 towers equipped with biodegradable confetti cannons, smoke machines, giant LED screens, and 250 mobile light points. This setup transformed Salou's seafront for more than two hours, synchronized with the current musical hits.

"The Cós Blanc is a brand of Salou and a first-rate tourist product that, coinciding with the Winter Festival, helps to de-seasonalize the summer season."

Pere Granados · Mayor of Salou
The undisputed stars were the 28 floats —27 groups plus the institutional float carrying the Pubilles (Festival Queens)—, featuring imaginative costumes ranging from fantastic characters to references to current affairs. This year, the event also debuted new voices with Laura Jarque and Roberto Vara, who replaced the classic narration by Juanma Hidalgo.
The organization highlighted the inclusive nature of the festival, setting up a reserved area for people with reduced mobility and installing Violeta and Multicolor Points, aimed at preventing aggressions and ensuring a safe and respectful celebration. Mayor Pere Granados thanked the groups for their involvement and noted the increase in the private security detail.
