The Diputació de Tarragona and Ajuntament de Reus have announced the 19th edition of the CDO Awards to select the best extra virgin olive oils from the 2025 harvest, with producers able to register until January 28.

These awards, managed by the Centre de Desenvolupament de l'Oli (CDO), aim primarily to recognize the effort of EVOO producers in Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre, contributing to the revaluation of their products.
Eligibility is open to all oils originating from mills in the Tarragona demarcation that are registered in the Catalonia Agri-Food Industries Register and inscribed in the Protected Designations of Origin (PDOs) Baix Ebre - Montsià, Siurana, or Terra Alta.
Each mill may submit only one oil, which must be from the 2025 campaign and come from a homogeneous batch of at least 500 liters. The oils are classified into three groups based on their characteristics: Bitter Green Fruity, Sweet Green Fruity, and Ripe Fruity.
The jury will grant one prize and one runner-up award in each of the three categories. The prize involves the CDO purchasing the winning bottled oils for 1,500 euros per category, which will then be used for promotional activities. The awards ceremony will take place at the Palau Bofarull in Reus.
