The DOP Siurana Regulatory Council delivered a check for 688 euros and 85 liters of extra virgin olive oil this week to the Food Bank of the Tarragona regions during an event held at the Central Market.

The donation was formalized with the presence of the Councilor for Commerce of the Tarragona City Council and president of Mercats de Tarragona, Montse Adan, the president of DOP Siurana, Antoni Galceran, and the president of the Food Bank, Josep Maria Solanes. This financial and material contribution aims to support the social activity of the organization.
The 85 liters of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) delivered mainly come from raffles held during the fair that were not collected by their winners, in addition to some additional donations made by the entities that are part of DOP Siurana. This oil will be allocated to the ordinary activities of the Food Bank.

"indispensable quality food for the activity carried out by the Food Bank."
