The exhibition, titled Nosaltres no tenim por, nosaltres som (We are not afraid, we are), can be visited in the capital of Tarragonès until January 11, 2026. This project, driven by El Catalejo, focuses on the period between late Francoism and the democratic transition, specifically between 1960 and 1985.
The main objective is to reconstruct a collective narrative about the fight for visibility and the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community. To achieve this, the exhibition combines personal memories and archives with institutional documents, creating a dialogue between individual and collective memory, and activating an intergenerational participation space.
In parallel with the main exhibition, the Mèdol center presents the artistic action Memòria Química (Chemical Memory). This proposal, curated by Quim Packard, investigates the complex relationship between the territory of Tarragona and industrial and chemical processes.
Memòria Química incorporates expanded scenography and features the active participation of students from the Escola d’Art, enriching the programming of the Contemporary Arts Center.
