The Servei Català de Trànsit (Catalan Traffic Service) confirmed that the incident occurred shortly before 9:00 AM, specifically at 8:56 AM, at kilometer 1161 of the highway heading towards Reus.
A total of three vehicles were involved in the collision: two passenger cars and one van. As a result of the crash, one person sustained minor injuries, while the other two drivers involved were reported to be unharmed.
The accident happened at a critical junction on the A-7, precisely where there is an exit connecting to the N-240 or the well-known Rotonda dels Conills (Rabbits Roundabout), a common area for lane changes.
To manage the scene and allow emergency services access, one lane of the motorway had to be closed, which caused significant traffic congestion and delays during the Tuesday morning commute.
