The couple Paola Ruiz and Jonathan Ulises, who live in Altafulla, commute daily to Torredembarra for work and school, and today they faced a critical situation. They needed to take their daughter to school at 7 am, but the train did not arrive until 9 am, forcing them to take the bus instead.
“"I have had to miss work twice. The first time they let it slide, but the second time they already hinted that I should find a solution. If I get fired, who pays my salary, Renfe?"
Given the uncertainty, the couple decided to arrive at Tarragona station two hours early for their return journey. Ruiz complained that the service “has never worked particularly well, but since last week we can't go anywhere,” as their mobility depends almost exclusively on Rodalies.
Travelers also criticize the lack of clear information. According to Ulises, while the internet claims trains are running, there are none at the station, and staff cannot provide an estimated arrival time. “The only thing you can do is sit and wait and waste time,” he concluded.
