The La Muntanyeta Foundation will open its new residence on February 17 in the Bonavista neighborhood of Tarragona, offering 60 places and specialized care services for people with multiple disabilities.

The new center, located on the Partició road, triples the capacity of the former residence on the Oliva road and will become a first-rate social service and a reference point throughout Catalonia for the care of people with cerebral palsy and other multiple disabilities in the Tarragona region.
The total investment for the project execution exceeded 13 million euros, financed with own funds from the La Muntanyeta Foundation of the Santa Tecla Health, Social and Teaching Network, with collaboration from administrations, private donors, and the contribution of Next Generation European funds.
The building, constructed on a 15,000 m2 plot ceded by the Tarragona City Council, is divided into five residential units for twelve users each. Four of these units are for standard residential use, and one will be dedicated to intermediate care inpatient services, totaling 60 places.

This is a pioneering and innovative unit in Catalonia and across the state, which will have its first exponent in the city of Tarragona.

This intermediate care unit, located on the ground floor, is designed for the treatment of people with multiple disabilities presenting transient intercurrent health processes and for end-of-life care. The complex also features an area for specialized outpatient treatments and 14,000 m2 of adapted gardens and parking areas.
