Port Tarragona premieres this Tuesday, October 27, the second audiovisual capsule of the series ‘Port Stories’, focusing on the institutional building of the Port Authority of Tarragona, a symbol of the city's maritime profile.

The screening of The Glass Colossus. Building a Symbol will take place at 7 PM in the Josefina Castellví room (floor 0) of the APT's institutional headquarters. This initiative, promoted by the Port Archive, aims to recover and disseminate episodes, spaces, and protagonists of Tarragona's port history in a short and attractive format.
The new production reviews the conception and construction process of the building, as well as the historical and economic context that made its execution possible. The work combines historical documentation from the Port Archive, period images, testimonies, and audiovisual resources.
Oriol Margalef, journalist and director of the audiovisual capsule, will participate in the event. After the screening, Julio Villar, historical advisor of the production, and Josep M. Garreta, architect and creator of the building, will speak.
The ‘Port Stories’ series is part of the heritage dissemination work carried out by the Port of Tarragona Archive and aims to bring the historical heritage linked to port activity closer to the general public. The first capsule, presented in 2025, dealt with the attack on the merchant ships Thorpeness and Stanwell during the Civil War.
