Regional and Rodalies train service resumed at the Tarragona station on Friday, January 23, after a two-day halt, registering significant delays and a very low passenger turnout.
Regional and Rodalies trains returned to circulation on Friday, January 23, at the Tarragona station following a two-day stoppage. The service resumed with average delays of fifteen to thirty minutes, although in some cases, delays reached up to an hour. Passenger flow was much lower than on a normal day, with the first trains running practically empty early in the morning.
One of the most significant disruptions occurred on the R-15 line, where the 7:56 am train from Riba-roja d'Ebre to Barcelona accumulated an hour's delay. To mitigate problems caused by the recent storm, Renfe provided two buses to cover the affected section between Riba-roja and Reus.

"It's an hour late, I'll take the next one at 8:56 am, I'm not in a big hurry, I take it with resignation."
Among users, such as Andrés Macias, resignation and understanding prevailed regarding the drivers' safety concerns. Armando Mendoza, another passenger, considered the inspection halt across the entire network to be a 'correct' and prudent measure, given the severity of the rainfall. Student Cristina lamented the victims of the accidents in Gelida and Adamuz, but maintained that the problem was caused by the storm, not the train itself.

"When farmers and fishermen go on strike, everyone gets angry, when the drivers go on strike, nobody gets angry. They are right that safety is important and that the infrastructure is outdated, but they are not thinking about the people."
