The Rodalies de Catalunya service suffered a severe interruption on Monday, January 26, morning, after an incident at the Adif control center in Estació de França in Barcelona forced the suspension of circulation twice, causing chaos at stations like Tarragona and Reus.

The interruption began before seven in the morning when the failure at the Adif Centralized Traffic Control Center was reported. Although the service gradually recovered around 7:15 a.m., the fault recurred shortly after, forcing a new suspension and generating an hour of chaos until partial recovery at 8:00 a.m.
This situation caused significant crowds of travelers at the Camp de Tarragona high-speed station, where dozens of users waited to board trains. At the Reus station, alternative bus services towards Riba-roja d’Ebre (R15) and Vinaixa-Lleida (R14) ran as scheduled, but the uncertainty generated indignation among passengers.

Residents of Alforja, for example, feel 'deceived' by not knowing whether to travel by train or bus to Barcelona.

Given the new day of collapse, the Government of Catalonia issued an official recommendation urging citizens to opt for teleworking and minimize unnecessary travel. Despite the gradual restoration of the service, the loss of traveler confidence was evident, with low attendance early in the morning at the Tarragona station.
