Rodalies begins service on Wednesday, February 4th, maintaining the rail offer while reinforcing alternative bus plans on the R8 line and the VallsCamp de Tarragona section due to ongoing rail incidents.

The spokesperson for Renfe in Catalunya, Antonio Carmona, explained from Sants station that starting from this date, the R8 line buses will cover the full route between Martorell and Granollers Centre, a measure that will facilitate travel for affected users.
Furthermore, alternative transport is reinforced in the VallsCamp de Tarragona section with an additional bus service in the morning and afternoon, coordinated with Mitja Distància trains bound for Barcelona. The new arrangement includes a departure from Valls at 7:10 a.m. and a return from Camp de Tarragona at 3:40 p.m.

"Added to the general state of the infrastructure, the system's recovery capacity is currently lower."

Regarding the incidents, Carmona noted that the fault registered early in the morning was “very similar” to the one on Monday. Siemens technicians are working to prevent recurrence, while Renfe is studying adjustments to the alternative plan for the R3 line, between Barcelona and La Tor de Querol, to reduce transfers.
