Macias detailed that the service interruption, caused by a problem at the Adif control center, was restored. He described the second suspension, which occurred shortly after 8 a.m., as "very brief" and attributed it to a simple readjustment stemming from the first stoppage, which lasted approximately 10 minutes.
“"The second suspension was very brief and was simply a readjustment derived from the first suspension."
Simultaneously, the Government has begun procedures to maintain the suspension of the Low Emission Zones (ZBE). This measure responds to a demand from user platforms, initially proposed for the Tarragona area, but which will be applied to all Catalan cities obligated to implement ZBE.
To make the continuity of the suspension effective, the Director General of Environmental Quality contacted the city councils and the Barcelona metropolitan area on Monday, the competent bodies, to prepare the corresponding decree.
Furthermore, Renfe has been requested to reinforce and expand alternative road services. On the R8 line, the bus service, which ran from Mollet to Martorell, will be extended starting Wednesday to begin in Granollers, thus reinforcing the highly requested section between Granollers and Mollet.
Renfe has also been asked to complement the alternative services affecting the Regional trains between Reus, Valls, and Barcelona, and to re-analyze and adapt the schedules of the road service already established on the R3 line due to previous works.
