The arrival of an Atlantic front and storm Joseph have ended the calm in Catalonia, bringing intermittent rain, wind, and snow to the Pyrenees this week, according to Meteocat.

Tuesday was marked by instability, with precipitation spreading from western Barcelona, Lleida, and Tarragona. Storm Joseph will extend towards the coast during the afternoon, bringing generally weak rains, which could be locally intense in some parts of the Catalan geography.
Although the wind has decreased compared to the previous day, Meteocat maintains the warning for rough seas active along the entire coastal strip, where waves could exceed 3 meters in height. Temperatures will remain stable, with a slight tendency to rise as the day progresses.
Wednesday is expected to be a day of contrasts. In the morning, wind will be the main feature, blowing strongly on the central coast and pre-coastal areas, which is why Meteocat has reactivated the yellow warning from the Baix Camp region (Tarragona) to Barcelonès. Furthermore, snowfalls will reactivate in the Girona Pyrenees, while showers will reappear in the central and southern half of the territory in the afternoon.
Looking ahead to the weekend, instability will persist. During the early hours of Thursday, cloudiness will increase with weak rains that will continue until early afternoon. A new front will arrive on Saturday morning, bringing a round of precipitation to the regions of Lleida and Girona, accompanied by a generalized temperature drop.
