The working team, consisting of an official and a forestry laborer, cleared and removed vegetation from the area. Special emphasis was placed on eliminating the exotic and invasive species giant reed (arundo donax), as well as other plant debris that obstructed the water flow.
These works, which also included the collection of non-vegetable waste and its management at an authorized landfill, were commissioned to the contracted company, GIL FORESTAL SL. The cost of the operation was 7,258.79 euros (VAT included).
“"From the Tarragona City Council, we are working to make the Móra neighborhood more resilient to torrential rains."
The contract with GIL FORESTAL SL stipulates similar actions every six months over a two-year period, concluding in June 2027. Furthermore, the council is currently constructing the anti-DSU deposit, with a capacity of 1,000 m3 of water, to regulate and treat overflows in the area.
