The 26th edition of the Disfressa d'Or marks the start of the Tarragona Carnival this Sunday at 7:30 PM at the CaixaBank Tarraco Arena with fourteen troupes participating.

The gala, held at the CaixaBank Tarraco Arena after a year at the convention center, will be hosted by journalist and comedian Guillem Estadella and singer Gemma Polo.
Estadella is known for his participation in programs such as Fricandó Matiner on RAC105 and currently hosts Els teloners on RAC1. Polo is a co-founder of the group Roba Estesa and collaborates on projects like Maruja Limón and Al·lèrgiques al Pol·len.
A total of fourteen troupes will compete for the top prize, including Amics de la Part Alta, Artífex, La Ballaruga, Platinum, and Spectrum. Additionally, Sinhus and Urban Style will participate out of competition, representing this year's Carnival Queen and her Concubine.
In the previous edition, the Platinum troupe won first prize with a proposal inspired by the universe of the artist Rosalía. This year, the competition returns to a single session format to accommodate all attendees, with doors opening at 6 PM on Sunday, February 8.
