The total investment amounts to 1,289,600 euros and aims primarily to support projects and activities that assist groups at risk of social exclusion, offer shelter to refugee children, or advise people with various pathologies and their families. These initiatives fall under the scope of health, social care, and education.
Among the proposals benefiting is the project Avançant en família (Moving Forward in Family), run by the Associació Avancem Junts in El Vendrell, focused on the social inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or intellectual disability. Funding also goes to the initiative Teixint xarxes de suport (Weaving Support Networks), promoted by the Associació Atzavara-Arrels in Tortosa, which fosters social cohesion and the reception of newcomers.
The selected projects range from cognitive stimulation for Alzheimer's patients to emotional management for vulnerable adolescents.
Other notable grants include the cognitive, sensory, and physical stimulation program by the Associació Familiar d'Alzheimer Montsià in Amposta, dedicated to supporting Alzheimer's patients and their families. Furthermore, the Fundació Menssana in Tarragona will receive funds to address boundaries, emotional management, and addictive habits in vulnerable youth and adolescents.
Finally, the Associació Col·lectiu Ocell Migrador, also based in Tarragona, will launch the program Social Inclusion through Stories, an initiative that uses storytelling by migrant individuals to explore cultural diversity and promote social and cultural integration through art.
