The protest will take place this Saturday at noon in L'Aldea, in the Baix Ebre region. Demonstrators plan to intermittently cut traffic from the roundabout accessing the AP-7 and the C-43 to highlight their demand for better "all transport services" in the area.
The discontent stems from the new railway planning in Catalunya, which, according to the entity, failed to consider any of their requests, "which were already crumbs," as spokesperson Cinta Galiana pointed out. Trens Dignes also criticizes the lack of action by local political representatives regarding the need to improve territorial mobility.
“"When they say they have improved infrastructure in Tarragona, they mean up to Camp de Tarragona. From Tarragona city, a train leaves every half hour towards Barcelona, but here we do not have a fast train to go to the provincial capital."
Among the ignored demands, the platform denounces the failure to reinstate the two semi-direct trains to Tarragona and Barcelona lost by the R-16 line following the works on the Roda de Berà tunnel. Furthermore, shorter routes between the Ebro and the Catalan capital were not included, nor was the departure time of the sole early-morning high-speed train advanced.
