The inaugural event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Plaça de l’Església de Vila-seca and will feature the participation of the choirs Petits Cantors, Allegro, and Toldrà, all belonging to the Escola i Conservatori de Música de Vila-seca. After the lighting, attendees can enjoy the traditional Christmas broth.
The following weekend, the Castell de Vila-seca will host the Magic Office of Their Majesties the Three Kings of the East, open morning and afternoon on Saturday, and afternoon only on Sunday, for collecting letters.
Regarding stage proposals, on Saturday at 6 p.m., the Celler de Vila-seca will host the magic and dance show Els Colors del Nadal, performed by Mag Albert & The Bliss. An hour later, the Teatre El Centru will offer the performance of El Poema de Nadal, by Josep Maria de Sagarra, interpreted by the Grup de Teatre La Tramoia. This same group will present the Pastorets Quiz on Sunday afternoon in the same venue.
Looking ahead to the following week, on Tuesday, December 23, the Església de Sant Esteve will be the setting for the Cant de la Sibil·la concert, featuring the Cor Dacapo and soprano Mireia Tarragó. On Wednesday, December 24, at 5 p.m., the Festa del Tió will take place with the Esplai l’Esclop de Vila-seca.
This year's performance of Els Pastorets celebrates 125 years of uninterrupted representations at the Teatre El Centru, one of the highlights of the Christmas program.
On Christmas Day and Saint Stephen's Day, the Teatre El Centru will host Els Pastorets. On Saint Stephen's Day, letters will also be collected at the Castell, and the traditional Saint Stephen's Concert will take place, featuring the Coral Nova Unió de Vila-seca and the Orquestra Händel del Conservatori. Additionally, at noon, the Jardí del Castell will offer the family show El senyor tic-tac i els moments perduts, by Aleix Vidal.
The weekend of December 27 and 28 will see continued letter collection for Their Majesties the Three Kings of the East at the Castell de Vila-seca and the opening of the Children's Christmas Park at the Pavelló Municipal d’Esports de Vila-seca. Sunday's programming will culminate with a special performance of Els Pastorets featuring actors from the 125 editions, and the Christmas concert by the Jove Orquestra Intercomarcal at the Auditori Josep Carreras.
