The Nilak project has celebrated five years bringing 59 performing arts shows from 45 companies to Terra Alta, establishing itself as a tool for territorial transformation and reducing cultural inequalities.

For five years, the Nilak project has offered 59 performing arts shows in Terra Alta, involving 45 companies. The initiative, which includes 40 circus performances, 8 theatre shows, 6 music concerts, and 5 dance performances, uses a traveling tent to bring culture to regions lacking permanent facilities.
The president of the Consell Comarcal de la Terra Alta, Joan Aubanell, highlighted that the proposal has become a "true instrument of territorial transformation" and has contributed "decisively to reducing inequalities in access to culture" and to "reinforcing territorial cohesion". The project operates as a temporary public theatre with a capacity for 200 people.
Organizers describe Nilak not just as an itinerant programmer, but as an "integral cultural device" capable of generating "structural impacts" on the local cultural ecosystem. Furthermore, it has promoted initiatives such as 'Performing arts in the schools of Terra Alta', with 17 shows, 5 workshops, and an educational program.
The total expenditure on performing arts during this period has been 202,445 euros, allocated to shows (45.1%), staff (33.2%), and artists (21.6%).
