The event, held at the local cinema, featured the participation of MEP Diana Riba, who delivered a conference titled “Republican values in the current global context”. During her speech, Riba emphasized the importance of the principles of fraternity, equality, and liberty to build fairer societies with full human rights, especially in the face of global threats such as armed conflicts, the rise of the far-right, and reactionary trends.
“"The need for the values of fraternity, equality, and liberty to build much freer countries, cities, and societies full of human rights, in the face of a geopolitics full of threats derived from wars, the extreme right, and reactionary waves."
Subsequently, a gala dinner was held where the awards in Homage to Republican Fraternity were presented. These recognitions aim to distinguish civic and political careers dedicated to defending republican values and the country's freedom.
