The Terra Alta Film Festival (in-FCTA) arrives at its 10th edition from August 2nd to 8th in Bot, under the slogan ‘MENTRESTANT, in-FCTA…’, celebrating a decade of cultural and community growth in the heart of the region.

Driven by Iván Massagué Horta and Úrsula Agut Suàrez, the festival transforms the municipality of Bot, with just over 500 inhabitants, into a cinematic meeting point. Terra Alta, with its landscape of dry land and stone, becomes the setting where the festival has built its own identity, likening itself to a dune that grows with each participant.
The professionalization of the sector is one of the key focuses of this edition. The Highland Pro Pitching (August 3rd) will present six audiovisual projects in development to a professional committee, followed by the Mediterranean Industry Meeting (August 6th), a gathering to foster contacts and alliances. Professionals such as Gorka Lasaosa, Javier García Puerto, Eva Vallès, and Ricard Sales will participate in these sessions.
The short film competition features an expanded and recognized jury this year, composed of Carlos Scholz, María Hervás, Gonzalo de Castro, Clara Lago, and Ricard Sales, who will evaluate the works in the HighLand Pro category. In parallel, the vermouth gatherings at Celler Cal Menescal and Alberg Lo Molí de Bot will offer informal networking spaces.
The festival's educational vocation is reinforced with new training initiatives, such as the Non-Fiction Laboratory directed by Nerea Crespo and the workshop on artificial intelligence applied to cinema led by Gorka Lasaosa. Established workshops like the dubbing workshop with Dani Albiac and the acting workshop with Àngels Bassas continue.
Over 87 screenings will fill emblematic spaces in Bot, including the main street, the church square, and the vineyards. Award-winning films such as Ángulo muerto (Goya 2026), Montecarlo 67 (Premios Fugaz 2026), and Un buen salvaje (Premio Feroz Cinema Jove 2026) will be screened. The program is complemented by live music, gastronomic tastings, and circus performances.
The festival highlights the indispensable support of the winegrowers, farmers, small businesses, and residents of Terra Alta, who make it possible for cinema to take root in this rural landscape. This tenth edition consolidates in-FCTA as a key event for cinema with identity, demonstrating that culture created with care and community endures over time.
