The fourth edition of the Primavera DO Terra Alta Festival gathered nearly 3,000 people between April 23 and 25, establishing itself as an unmissable event for wine and culture enthusiasts in the region.

The event offered a diverse program that included recognition for the best wines of the Terra Alta Designation of Origin, technical sessions for the industry, and recreational activities for the general public. The massive participation underscores the importance of this oenological and cultural celebration.
Activities open to the public began on Friday, April 24, in Gandesa, where nearly 1,000 people enjoyed an oenocultural evening in the Plaça del Comerç. Attendees were able to taste DO Terra Alta wines and local gastronomy, entertained by music from a DJ from Gandesa, creating a synergy between local product and talent.
Saturday, April 25, was the central day with the Wine Exhibition, which opened its doors at 12:15 h. The official inauguration was attended by various authorities, including the government sub-delegate in Tarragona, the general director of INCAVI, the president of the Terra Alta Regional Council, the mayor of Batea, and the president of the DO Terra Alta.
A total of twenty-three wineries from the DO Terra Alta participated in the exhibition, offering 5,000 tastings. The offering was complemented by children's activities, tastings led by the DO Terra Alta itself, a painting exhibition by local artist Mar Martos, and the participation of the Grup de Grallers l'Embolic Geganters de Batea with the giants Bernat Granell and Hermesenda.
The night culminated with concerts in Plaça Catalunya de Batea, where the duo The Tyets gathered almost 2,000 people, delivering a highly anticipated performance that thrilled the audience. Previously, the group Caipirinyes offered musical covers, and DJ Jardí closed the oenomusical night.
The festival also included proposals for the professional sector, such as the Awards Gala of the DO Terra Alta Wine Competition 2026, held on Thursday, April 23, at the Església del Poble Vell de Corbera d'Ebre. This gala brought together some 150 people from the wine world and featured musical performances and an exhibition by sculptor Josep Ferré Bru. Dinner was provided by a chef awarded a Michelin Star.
On Friday, April 24, in the morning, the technical conference 'Reading the market: the new wine consumer and how to sell in a changing environment' took place, where wineries could dialogue with experts in consumer behavior in the wine sector. The Primavera DO Terra Alta Festival 2026 continues with its Tastos de paisatge cycle until the end of May, offering immersive experiences in emblematic spaces of the region.
