The Agramunt Town Council has begun analyzing different modalities for managing the drinking water service, as the current contract with the company Cassa expires in January 2027 after 25 years.

The council seeks to establish a new management model, either through a new concession or the municipalization of the service, aiming for the maximum possible consensus among political groups. Mayor Sílvia Fernández emphasized the importance of this decision for the future of the town.

"We are analyzing all alternatives; for the moment, no decision has been made."

To carry out this evaluation, a study commission has been created, including municipal technicians and representatives from all political groups. Furthermore, the Town Council has commissioned the consultant PWACS to conduct a detailed technical study on the viability and costs of each proposed option.
Parallel to the management study, the municipal plenary initially approved the regulation for drinking water supply and the sewerage network. This regulation, which governs the sewerage network already managed by the council, is now in public exposure for a period of thirty days.
