The emblematic Kipps establishment in Agramunt has been transformed into a set for the new Movistar Plus+ series, 'Todo lo necesario', sparking curiosity among locals.

The former hotel, restaurant, and disco Kipps, an iconic venue in Agramunt, has served as a filming location this week for several scenes of the new original series from Movistar Plus+ titled Todo lo necesario. This transformation into an improvised film set has generated significant curiosity among local residents.
The filming, concentrated over four days, included setup tasks on Monday and Tuesday, with the main recording taking place yesterday, Wednesday, and dismantling scheduled for today. Yesterday, approximately 140 people, including technical crew, production staff, and extras, worked inside the establishment.
The production, driven by Movistar Plus+ in collaboration with Lastor Media, is directed by Marcel Barrena and Fernando Trullols. Todo lo necesario is a three-episode political thriller based on the 2009 kidnapping of three Spanish aid workers by Al-Qaeda and the complex negotiations for their release. The cast features actors such as David Verdaguer, Enric Auquer, Marina Salas, and Mónica López. The series will combine international locations, like Senegal, with Spanish settings including Barcelona, Murcia, and Agramunt's own Kipps.
Ramon Bochaca, from Ponent i Acció, explained that they have supported the production company Lastor Media in location scouting and service management. He detailed that the filming at Kipps is focused on the restaurant area and a couple of hotel rooms, representing a small part of the series situated towards the end of the plot. The series is slated for release in 2027.
Beyond the visual impact, the filming has generated an estimated economic return of between 15,000 and 20,000 euros for the region. Ponent i Acció, an organization led by the Tàrrega City Council and the councils of Noguera, Pla d’Urgell, and Urgell, is already working on future productions, including another shoot at the Kipps this month.
