A four-party collaboration agreement involving the Diocese of Urgell and local entities aims to enhance the value, promotion, and conservation of the historical and artistic heritage of forty churches in the Valls d'Àneu, within Pallars Sobirà.

This initiative, which includes the Diocese of Urgell, the Municipalities of Valls d'Àneu, the Ecomuseum, and the Cultural Council, marks a significant step towards ensuring the preservation and revitalization of approximately forty temples scattered across the Pallars Sobirà region. The primary goal of the agreement is the coordinated management of this valuable heritage, making it accessible to the entire community.
To ensure effective management, a mixed commission has been established to oversee the maintenance of the buildings and the promotion of cultural, artistic, spiritual, and social activities. These actions will be carried out with responsible use of the spaces, always respecting their sacred character and consistency with Catholic faith and morals.
The objective is for these churches to remain active centers of worship, ensuring the regular celebration of Sunday Eucharist, liturgical acts, and pastoral activities specific to each parish, while also opening them up to the community for the appreciation of their rich legacy.
