The Alt Urgell region has launched its International Women's Day activities with the art installation Atrapades pel temps in la Seu d'Urgell, exploring the journey of life and aging.

Created by artists Berta Oromí, Josepa Travé, and Míriam Martínez, the project involved thirty local women to provide a poetic perspective on female seniority. The mural uses acrylic paint and fabric transfers to create a symbolic narrative of time.

"We decided to go this way because it was a positive vision of the future, with a view of active aging and the territory."

Míriam Martínez · Project co-author
The artwork is on display at the Les Monges Cultural Center until May 5th. This exhibition is the first of several events scheduled across the Alt Urgell county to commemorate March 8th.
