The municipality of Castellserà (Urgell) celebrated the traditional feast of Saint Sebastian yesterday, featuring a crowded mass at the hermitage and the distribution of 180 blessed rolls.

The celebration in honor of the local patron is one of the most deeply rooted traditions, which is why dozens of people filled the hermitage to sing hymns. The three residents named Sebastian, accompanied by the municipal corporation, led the procession of offerings from the town hall to the hermitage, despite the rain that required the use of umbrellas.
Once at the hermitage, the residents named Sebastian followed the mass from the front row. Afterwards, they were responsible for distributing the 180 blessed rolls among the attendees while they adored the saint's relic.

The Saint Sebastian festival was not limited to the mass, as it also included games for the little ones and the start of the centenary events for the Flors d’Urgell choir. The celebration will conclude next weekend with a football match, a painting workshop, and the play Coverta número 5, performed by the Sake group.
