This presentation took place during a stop of the 'Government Plan in the Territory' campaign, held on Saturday in La Seu d'Urgell, coinciding with the Pyrenees Game Festival. The campaign aims to bring the executive's work closer to citizens through an informative vehicle detailing key actions and projects with local impact.
The Minister of Linguistic Policy, Francesc Xavier Vila Moreno, visited the information point accompanied by the delegate of the Government in Alt Pirineu i Aran, Sílvia Romero Galera. Vila highlighted the imminent opening of the new integrated citizen service office in La Seu d'Urgell, to be located in the city center. This office will facilitate access to Generalitat services, promote electronic processing, and enhance personalized attention in an increasingly digital administrative context.
Key investments in Alt Urgell include improvements to road infrastructures such as the N-260 and C-14 (in Adrall and Organyà), as well as the rural road network. The deployment of an additional 49 km of public fiber optic network is also accelerating, adding to the 168 km already completed, and the Andorra – La Seu d'Urgell Airport is being expanded with nine new hangars. Aid from the Single Plan for Works and Services of Catalonia to the region's municipalities has significantly increased, reaching 13.6 million euros for the 2025-2029 period.
Other strategic projects benefiting Alt Urgell include the construction of the new INEFC Pirineus building, the launch of the new IRTA Pirineu headquarters for agri-food research, and cultural initiatives such as the 'LiceuAprèn' and 'Pirineu Lector' projects. Furthermore, the Mossos d'Esquadra Police Region and Basic Area of La Seu d'Urgell will be expanded with a 20 million euro investment, and the building housing the Generalitat Firefighters' Special Actions Group (GRAE) at the Andorra – La Seu d'Urgell Airport will be reorganized. Justice of the peace services will also be improved with new municipal offices.
