The cooperative Cotecnica in Bellpuig has closed the 2025 fiscal year with a turnover of 169.2 million euros, a 7% increase from the previous year, thanks to the growth of its own brand Ownat and international consolidation.

The increase was mainly supported by the growth of the own brand Ownat, specializing in quality natural food, which achieved a 19% growth and now represents nearly 76% of the petfood business. The pet food division remains a key area for Cotecnica, with strong international projection.
66% of petfood sales correspond to exports, reaching over 50 countries. The cooperative has a consolidated presence in European markets such as France, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, and Poland, as well as in other international markets like Tunisia, Morocco, Ecuador, Chile, and French Polynesia. In recent years, it has grown in Latin America and begun its expansion into Asia.
During 2025, Cotecnica has invested over 10 million euros in strategic initiatives to strengthen its innovation capacity. The most significant investment was the launch of a new laboratory for quality improvement, control, and research in animal nutrition. The remaining funds were allocated to operational and industrial enhancements.
Cotecnica is composed of ten member cooperatives from Catalonia, Aragon, and Castilla y León.
