The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, met with business leaders from the Baix Llobregat region, convened by AEBALL, to discuss new industrial policy and sector challenges.

The Association of Businessmen of L'Hospitalet and Baix Llobregat (AEBALL) organized a business meeting within the framework of the Business Forum. The event was attended by Jordi Hereu, Minister of Industry and Tourism, presided over by Santiago Ballesté, president of AEBALL, and David Quirós, mayor of L'Hospitalet.
The main objective of the meeting was to present the strategic lines of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism and the minister's vision on the challenges facing new industrial policy.

Minister Jordi Hereu highlighted the potential of the BioClúster to attract a major pharmaceutical industry to the region. He also noted that the new geopolitical scenario will favor the attraction of industrial activity in new sectors, driven by digital and energy transformation, which in turn should serve to modernize the economy.
According to the minister, it is also essential to strengthen the connection between vocational training, universities, technology centers, and the productive fabric to meet the real talent needs of companies.
